The Question ISN'T What Can I Get FROM Life But Rather What Can I OFFER Life With My Life.
"We do not ask life what the meaning of life is. Life asks us, what is the meaning of your life? And life demands an answer." ~ Victor Frankl
When you picture your ideal life what vision are you given? We don’t get a visions that aren’t meant to be fulfilled. Answer this: In your vision how do you feel? Does it make you happy? Does it positively contribute to others?
You were created with a purpose. Both your shadow and your light. To honour your vision/ your purpose is to live in alignment, to do so is to embody trust and freedom, in doing so you will always be taken care of because one of the laws of the universe is that alignment brings abundance.
Whatever the vision, if aligned with your soul, it will be one of service to others. THAT is our purpose.Once upon a time we were of service through self sacrifice and self abandonment, the price of this created unhappiness and resentment.
It is important to acknowledge that due to the sacrifices of past generations many of us have the privilege to be ourselves, with privilege comes great responsibility and it is our responsibility to pave the way towards a world that returns to truth, balance, and freedom. We are the generation that gets to embody the balance between individual authenticity and through that living in the service of life by serving others. THIS IS the highest version of our humanity. To self abandon brings as much suffering as living in service of self. To honour your true self in service of others is the truest nature of humanity and the path to personal liberation.
THIS is the question that will create a life full of meaning and purpose. It will fill the inner void inside of us that we attempt to fill by taking but never fills.
Humanity is a Collaborative Species
We have survived this long by creating communities we spent our lives serving. Every member of the community contributed based on their gifts, strengths, and skills. We are all created different so that all the needs of a community can be served.
To be of service to others and positively contributing to the world (whether in big or small everyday ways) not only gives our lives the purpose and meaning we need but also feeds our hearts and souls in ways that fills our inner existential void.
The Shadow Side Of Collectivism
Although this collaborative social structure is key to our human nature, it had a shadow side that led us to shift into a more Individualistic social system. Collectivism manifested with our old (lower) level of consciousness, often oppressed, suppressed, and sacrificed the identity of the individuals in service of the collective.
To understand this look at your mother/father or grandparent’s life, how much of themselves was buried in service of the family? How did this cause them to avoid themselves and therefore project all their pain onto others?
Humanity Is Going Through a Transition
When anything in life gets out of balance an equal and opposite reality is created. From the shadow of collectivism, Individualism was born. We shifted into a society of individuals that are so consumed by their own needs, wants, and desires that has isolated and disconnected us.However, this shift was necessary to lead us towards the desire and ability to face ourselves enough to do our individual healing work, shed the trauma and darkness of our lineage, awaken spiritually, and therefore raise our consciousness enough to be able to return to balance and collaboration from a more conscious place.
The Shadow Side Of Individualism
Individualism eventually leads us to self-obsession. In that state we begin so consumed by our own pain, needs, wants, etc that we lose connection with others as well as the ability to give and receive. Although self-focus is key to arriving at doing inner work and healing, it’s shadow side makes us mentally and spiritually sick.
This sickness creates out inner void that we then try to fill by taking and using anything outside of ourselves to to fill it. We shift from the energy of offering and receiving to taking, one of the most destructive forces we can embody. In living a self centred life, we The suffering found in this leads us to face ourselves, begin the our healing journey, and from a higher level of consciousness return to. Harmony is not created by everyone being the same but rather by bringing our differences together and creating the whole picture.
Being Of Service As Our Authentic Selves
This is the perfect balance in which to exist in. Once you heal, awaken, and align with the truth of who you are. Once you that nothing you use or consume will fill your inner void but rather expands it and our suffering, you begin to fill that space with who YOU ARE, with what lights. you up, brings you joy, feels aligned.
To live authentically and aligned with your purpose serves not only in the expansion of your soul but also in the growth as well as humanity You will be supported by the universe. It is from this place that you come tu understand that in this state of authenticity you find the meaning and purpose of who you are. As it is in living in alignment that you show up and create in the world things that matter to the lives of others. It is in living this way that you answer the question: What can I offer life through my life? It is the embodiment of this answer that fill our inner void, eliminates our suffering, and returns to balance and health, to connection and a life worth living.
